1stPass is designed with privacy at its core. We collect no personal data, use no analytics or tracking, and have no cloud services. Everything stays on your device.
Nothing. 1stPass does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies, and no telemetry of any kind.
1stPass requests microphone access solely to decode LTC (Linear Time Code) timecode from professional audio interfaces. The audio signal is processed in real time to extract timecode data. Raw audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. The microphone is not used for voice recording, speech recognition, or any purpose other than LTC decoding.
1stPass includes an optional Companion Server feature that communicates over your local network with external controllers such as Bitfocus Companion. This communication is strictly local—no data is sent to the internet. The local network feature is entirely optional and can be disabled at any time.
All data created by 1stPass remains on your device:
1stPass does not include any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or cloud backends. There are no external network requests made by the app.
1stPass is a professional video production tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data from anyone, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we update this privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate material changes.
